Introduction:

When it comes to achieving long-term weight loss, the only real solution is a healthy approach. Gradual weight loss through healthy lifestyle changes will produce long-lasting results not only in terms of pounds lost – you'll also feel better.

The WMC is dedicated to educating Canadians about eating healthy and understanding the how to balance their diet.

Dan Tisi, registered dietitian, will moderate this section and will guide you through a number of tips that help you to achieve your goal of healthy nutrition.  Sections will be written by patients, WMC staff members and others.  All content will be moderated by Dan Tisi.

Tip #1
Never eat a meal when you are hungry

This statement sounds very strange I am sure. The most important part of this sentence is the word “meal”, if you eat a meal when you are hungry, you will tend to overeat and eat the wrong foods. Always have a small snack, preferrably protein, before you eat your meal, especially if you are hungry.
